In a study published in American journal of emergency medicine, where only 4% of doctors stated that they would treat patients with vertigo with exercises (maneuvers). Hence, most vertigo sufferers do not get effective curative treatment, and they keep on suffering for a very long time. Bashir K et al. Physical maneuvers: effective but underutilized treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in the ED. Am J Emerg Med. 2014 Jan; 32(1):95-6.
In another study published in a top American Journal [Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery] also explained how rarely patients with vertigo (BPPV) were offered physical maneuvers. Only 0.2% of patients were offered effective, curative physical maneuvers.
